Official Romwe Girl
When I just started blogging and already knowledgeable about sponsors(I already have my first local sponsor that time) I applied to www.oasap.com’s fashion blogger program because some people advised me that they easily accept fashion blogger sponsorships. And yah, they told me the truth! I easily qualified and become an official oasap girl. Eventually, I found out another worldwide shop, Romwe.com-who caters sponsorship and hosts giveaways to fashion bloggers. I noticed that they have high standards and they only sponsors reputably and famous fashion bloggers in the whole world. I also tried to apply to them but sad to say, I haven’t met their requirements. Why? They need 2k followers for blogspot and 20k followers on tumblr. And that time, that’s too much for a newbie blogger like me.

One day, I’m surprised to recieve this email indicating that they will sponsor me items from Romwe. So, I included romwe on my side bar and start spending coupon codes on their shop.

(*Forgive me for the pixelated print screened emails. If you want to read it clearly, right click on the image and click “open image in new tab”)
Then, after almost 6 months of blogging, Finally. ROMWE wanted to collaborate with me and sponsor my blog! :>
yay! I’M an official ROMWE Girl! :> I never thought that I will have big international sponsors like this :>
Thank You so Much ROMWE!
go check out their shop now! :)
cheers! xoxo
Trend Spotting: Socks on heels

Hello there readers! I just bought magazines for this July :)
So, whats our topic for today? I just spotted on these magazines some trend that I tried like 3 months ago. Yah, It’s on the title. Socks on heels. Some of you knows that wearing a socks is old school and out of trend. But you are just definitely wrong! This seasons trend is just really broad and adjustable. It’s about breaking the rules. Like patterns on patterns, chucks on dress… But that’s another story. hihi. So,hmm.. everytime I wear socks on heels, A lot of people are just complaining about it. I dont understang why people who doesn’t appreciate fashion are just like that? They will say a lot of negative things about you. About you wear. They dont appreciate that fashion is the way you express your self. The way you bring out your personality. blah blah blah.

Here are some that I just spotted on these magazines:

Let’s get back to the topic, I just want to inform you that socks on heels are in trend right now sawa n nga ako eh. been doing that trend months ago na. But I just can’t understand that even one/two of my friends whom I know that is on fashion, doesn’t know that? Maybe, people just really notice and criticize anything when they hate you. yung may masabi na lng hehe..
Well, Just so you know, fall 2012 collection of Dolce & Gabbana shows socks and heels. While celebrities- local and hollywood, have been doing this trend. In fact, I first learned that trend by the top Fashion bloggers here in our country, Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy and Tricia Gosingtian.

The pairing of socks with heels is an idea that started brewing on the world’s runways a few seasons ago, and the trend is still gathering steam.
This is a look that can be youthful and fun, or ladylike and chic, depending on how you choose to style it. Celebs have been sporting ankle and under-the-knee socks as a fashion-forward alternative to hose or bare legs.
It can be a tricky look to pull off, but when it’s done right, it’s smashing.
One thing’s for sure: this bold look is reserved for the daring girl who has real fun with fashion.
So, Would you dare to wear socks on heels too? Here are some tips on how you can wear this trend
- Choose thin socks made with a nylon blend. Cotton socks tend to be too thick and can stretch out or sag.
- Make sure the top of the socks hit at a slim part of your ankle or calf for the most flattering look.
- The easiest way to wear the look is to match your sock color to your shoe color.
- Your skirt or dress hem should be short - mid thigh or higher.
A good pair of socks is a fairly inexpensive investment, so this is an easy way to experiment with your look. Have fun with it!
Yay! That’s so much word’s to take in! But, there’s something that just pops on my mind :) I think, I better do this kind of article every month. “Trendspotting on magazines” :) Well anyway, Just a fact for me; Magazine is a bit late on trends. Why? Because they are doing it in advance. For example, The magazine that they are working on for this July is for November issue. Thus, the trend for july will just be shown on november. For example, this trend that I’m talking about, the “Socks on heels”. I’ve been trying this for like 3 months ago but it just showed up on magazines this July. So I suggest, Internet is still an advance way of being on trend. Foreign magazines will do too :)
Anyhow, I learned that advance making of magazines thingy by Sam - the Fashion Editor of Candy Magazine, the one who get and publish my streetstyle picture for the september Issue of Candy Magazine. Yay! Watch out for that <3 Can’t wait! :>
I hope I helped you out in there :)

Insomnia. Is there such thing?

Hey guys! i Know this post is not related to fashion, But I think I just have to tell/ask you this. Do you believe on Insomnia?
Hmm. I don’t know what’s the problem on my sleeping habit or what ever do you call that; Because every night, I just cant sleep even how much I wanted to.
I’m not even browsing my web or doing something. I am just laying down with my eyes closed, and then there’s a lot of things that will run on my mind.
I am trying to not to think anything so I can sleep. But Dreams just keep on coming. I am dreaming every little possible things that I can do with my life.
And most of the time, when my eyes are already closed, I plan things that I will do when I wake up. I am planning and designing things on my mind. Its like
“my heart is the pencil, and my mind is the paper.”
For example, my mom just told me that we are gonna have a house renovation, then the night that she told me that, before I sleep, I already planning the design of my bedroom and my walk in closet in my mind; Or just like when I am hired as a fashion designer for this september event, I am already designing clothes in my mind; And you know what? I even think of surprises that I can do with my love one.
And you know whats more interesting about this? I am only dreaming just one particular topic every night. And the funny thing is that I am even counting sheep! haha! But that doesn’t work :|
Uggggh.. Yes It is great to have dreams in life. And to plan your day ahead, or to plan your future everytime you close your eyes.
But this is not funny anymore :( I just can’t sleep even how much I wanted. I am just dreaming around for how many hours until I can see the sunrise already. Until I already hear the chicken’c tilaok. I think this is not good for my health anymore.
I don’t know if there’s such thing as insomnia, Because I even went to the gym last night and got so tired; But still I just cant sleep. Is this a health problem? Or this is just my own problem? How about Dreaming problem? Or maybe I am just too inspired and I just cant sleep? Or maybe, my sleeping schedule is just f*cked up?
If So, Last night. Or should I say awhile ago (Coz I dont sleep at night), I just slept for like 3 hours. And I just woke up now. And I planned to do plenty of things today, and get tired so I can sleep early later. Well, I hope it works. :|
(Guess what? I planned to blog this in my dreams last night. hihi… )
What do you think? Do you experience the same thing as me? Is there such thing as Insomnia? Comments are loooove <3

Q:Pano ka kumukuha ng sponsor? Hehehe Gusto ko din po kase. I'm a fashion blogger wannabe Hehehe
hello dear! I suggest that you should just love what you are doing and inspire people :) Blog wholeheartedly <3 then eventually, If you earn traffic, Shops will reach out for you :) So remember to put your email address on your blog/site :) Somehow, when I really do love the items that a shop sells, I send some proposal to check out my blog and maybe we can do some collaborations and sponsorship. But, when you’re just starting a blog, Try to apply on www.oasap.com fashion blogger program :) They easily sponsor a lot of blogs :) Read my post about sponsorship here . Its a hate question though. haha.
Always remember, Blog is not about having sponsors. At first, I even didn’t know that there’s such thing. I just loved what I’m doing. So having sponsors is just a reward for me, and to my readers (By giving away stuffs). But I admit my heart really jums whenever I get items from sponsors and whenever I receive an emails regarding sponsorship. Who doesn’t? right? :>
Hope I helped you out there :) xoxo
Fashion Institute of the Philippines Experience
hello there again my lovely readers! I just posted a new giveaway! Have you joined already? :)
Anyhow, I want to share to all of you about my experience on studying at FIP :)
So, way back 2009, before I studied architecture, I studied at Fashion Institute of the Philippines. Why? off course because I wanna be a fashion designer slash architect slash interior designer some day.
Since I am 6 months waiting for the 1st term of Mapua (After I studied 1 term on UST), and I dont wanna waste my time, I enrolled at Club Gymnastica Manila, Halili Cruz school of ballet and at Fashion Institute of the Philippines.
Too many schools right? yay! haha. Because Im the kind of person who always love doing something.
Back to the topic- Why FIP?
First of all, Its the first school I knew since I modeled clothes on a fashion show event by FIP.
Second, There are a lot of successful designers that I know personally who is a graduate of FIP. One of them is Architect/Fashion Designer Zxander Tan. Check out my blog post about him HERE
And lastly, based on my research, FIP is the least expensive yet worth-it fashion design school here in our country. But guess what? It costs 11,000 per subject not including the instruments that is needed. You think fashion designing is just easy as that? No! Math? Formulas? Its present! We call ourselves “Fashion Engineers”
But I didn’t regret. Their right, Its all worth it!
We are like just one family in there. My classmates are of different ages. Teen, Young adult, and even house wives and husbands. 10% are guys, 40% are gays, and 50% are girls. haha!
The professors(Most probably gays) are so friendly! You better get ready your tummy coz you will surely laugh and laugh and laugh! :> One of my favorite professor is Oz Go. (PFW Designer) and guess what? The famous Paul and John Herrera even shared with me their love and s*x life. yay! haha. Yah, they are just so friendly :> And I am so honored to meet and talk to them :)
Anyway, We eat at the same time together with the staffs and professor during break time. And just like a normal school, we teach each other when there are hard patterns.
We even do have homeworks! :( And Exams as well. But the good thing about that is that all the classes are hands on activity thus you will really be able to learn.
So, here are some pictures that I took during those days. Too bad its only few :( But I admit, Its full of lectures on the board coz of getting tardy on taking down notes :| yah you know when you are excited on doing hands on right away right? So pls forgive me :D

One of our class rooms. Hey there teacher Oz! :) She/he is a brother/sister of Rachel Ann Go :)

See that mane-quine? Its adjustable! You can change its bust, shoulder, waist size and so on. So you can shape it just like your body :)

Here’s one of our lecture. But I wont post too much.

Here’s another one. See those numbers? yikes!

The sewing room. Please excuse the fan. The whole FIP is centralized air conditioned :)

bluuuuured :| Anw, my class schedule is from Monday to Friday. 9am to 6pm

Teacher Oz Go on the making :)

This shitzu is just so lovely! That’s the great thing about FIP. You can bring pets! hihi.

So that’s it! Too bad I didn’t had a chance to have a group picture with my friends/classmates.
Well anyway, I’ll probably get back there!
